Pre-Procurement Equipment Validation
Pre-Procurement is typically simple, equipment submittals are reviewed and approved, equipment procured occurs within 30-60days of approval, but what happens when you’re purchasing equipment on long-term projects or upgrading equipment for your Technology Progression Plan 2-3 years down the road? Equipment Validation services are meant to provide a quick validation on electronic equipment prior to purchase on projects where equipment is purchased more than 180days after initial approval. In some instances, equipment may be procured as far out as 36months after the original submittal. Equipment Validation provides a service to ensure older equipment no longer support is provided, or equipment that will become end-of-life within 24months from the end of the contract are not installed. The Validation report for procurement will provide the status of each piece of equipment, and any recommended replacements.
